Norway quintet Juicer have been on the go for the last 5 years now, having started off as a punk act before gradually evolving their sound and mixing in some other genres of the heavy variety.
After several EP releases previously, they now turn their attention to the release of their first full-length album – Mach IV.
As touched upon earlier, the songs on this record feature notable influences, particularly of rock spanning the 70’s and 80’s, and naturally we get plenty of dynamic riff sections, packing rhythms and some outstanding, hooking choruses.
Through this however, they still show off their punky colours that had originally brought them to the dance, as obvious from the regularly rapid tempos and the vocals that are dripping with attitude.
Running off a blistering, non-stop energy, Mach IV is an insane trip that begins wild and only seems to get all the more intense as it goes along. Juicer clearly know how to provide a rowdy experience that is worth every penny.
