Uniforms – Reasons To Breathe | SMALL MUSIC SCENE

Following a 2 year hiatus, Dundee punks Uniforms made their return to the fore in late 2017 and have been doing swimmingly ever since, ripping it up at a never-ending list of shows around the country. With that momentum behind them, they finally released a new EP titled Reasons To Breathe.

Derrick takes lead with his firm, distinctly coarse vocals, while working alongside Jamie to dispense some stirring riffs, and combined with the regularly tight rhythms, they bring a rabid energy that is constant throughout.

Although there are a couple of spots in Searchlights where they plainly slip out of time, the performances are otherwise quite strong overall, and the good writing earns some extra points.

Reasons To Breathe is a short but brisk ride that solidifies what has been a successful comeback for this quartet.
