REVIEW | Start Static: Shut Up I’m On It

Start Static are among the finest pop-rock acts that Glasgow has to offer at the moment. They made a big statement over the course of 2015 with their highly-rated debut album Arguments, plenty of airplay and a multitude of impressive live showings on stage.

Now they’re set to take 2016 by storm, and they’re kicking off with a bang courtesy of a new single entitled Shut Up, I’m On It.

What they deliver is an addicting little tune defined by bouncy, exuberant melodic verses which soon give way to heavier choruses that feature catchy hooks as well as some uncharacteristically gritty riffs.

A simply great track to commence what should undoubtedly be an even more successful year for the band.

With another tenure at the prestigious King Tuts later this month as part of the venue’s annual New Years Revolution festival and a music video on the way, these guys will be one to watch over the coming months.
