It’s very rare you get a band that instantly turn you into a fan of theirs, but that’s exactly what happened with Glasgow alternative rock band Sixclose. Relatively new on the scene, I was given a sneak preview of their debut single, Dead. And bloody hell, I seriously liked what I heard.

The dual vocals are not only really great but they work each other perfectly; showcasing a mixture of cleans and screams between them. The chorus is mind-blowing and insanely catchy, with the memorable writing playing a big part in that.

Topped off with forceful riffs and a potent rhythm, this is a damn good tune. In fact, one of the best I’ve heard in all of Scottish music this year, and I’m real excited to see what these guys deliver next.
