REVIEW | Parker (Self-Titled EP)

For the past few years, Glasgow pop rock band Parker have been making the rounds and building a solid list of accolades, including headlining the Hard Rock stage at this year’s Isle of Wight Festival. And having listened to their recently released self-titled EP, it’s easy to see why these guys garner the attention they do.

I’ve Got You serves as an upbeat, bouncy opening number with engaging lyrical work and a fun chorus that is quickly followed by the rhythmical Touchdown, a tune branded by catch riffs and sleek vocals, before wrapping up with Watching The Rain, which provides an enticing, memorable conclusion to the record.

While pretty short, this EP is an enjoyable 10 minutes of musical entertainment that exposes the clear talents of the band and does more than enough to justify their recognition.
